Weekend Reading

Happy Saturday everyone! I'm hoping to settle in for a lazy morning of drinking coffee and catching up on my blog reading...and fixing broken Legos, breaking up fights about said Legos and prepping our laundry room for the potential severe storms we might get tonight. Oh and more coffee! If we're really ambitious we might make it out the annual Rattlesnake Roundup/Carnival. (And yes, it is exactly what it sounds like.)

I'm intrigued by this mom friend matchmaking website showcased on Bunny and Dolly. This is one of the hardest things about moving with kids (second only to finding new babysitters!). What do you think? Would you give it a try?

Ain't No Mom Jeans is rounding up summer shoes for the kiddos and I think the boys need a pair of each one on this list. Natives, by the way, are awesome. Daniel was heartbroken this spring when his pair from last summer didn't fit anymore. Needless to say, more are heading our way!

Orange Ginger Marmalade from The Naptime Chef. You all know how I feel about anything with ginger in it. LOVE.

We're doing a big Greek Easter celebration this weekend, and it will be the first time I've attempted some of the traditional dishes my husband grew up with. This Greek Easter Bread from The Brown Eyed Baker is high on my list to try!

I love the idea that this girl chose to pursue getting stronger when she didn't feel comfortable in her body. This video of her progress through 100 days of pushups is pretty awesome.

No shame in needing help. As always, Tsh is right on the money.

Pistachio Crusted Asparagus with Feta from Joy the Baker. This is going on our menu immediately.

Great list of Five Favorite British Mystery Series by Kate at Savour Fare. Most of these are old favorites of mine too, but there were a few I haven't read yet. Yay for new series!!

Muffin tin Omelets with Kale, Sun-dried Tomato and Goat Cheese from Confections of a Foodie Bride. Such an easy way to get a healthy breakfast, and you know I can't resist goat cheese!

What are you up to this weekend?

  1. Ooh, I can't wait to hear how your Greek Easter dinner goes!

  2. It was a blast! Though of course as soon as it was over I finally found lamb in our grocery store :) Now we have an excuse to repeat the best parts of it!
